Chatib is built to know as little about you as a video chat site possibly can. This policy lists the few things we do collect, the reasons behind each one, and the things we deliberately never touch.

You can use Chatib without telling us who you are. We do not ask for a name, an email address or a phone number to start a chat. We do not record your video or audio calls, we do not store conversation transcripts, and we do not sell data to anyone — there is barely any data to sell in the first place.
Like nearly every website, our servers see technical basics when you load a page: IP address, browser and device type, approximate region derived from the IP, and which pages were opened. We use this to keep the site fast, to match you with people on a nearby server, and to spot abuse patterns.
Analytics cookies help us understand which pages people actually read so we can improve them. Feel free to disable cookies in your browser settings — Chatib stays fully usable, since matching does not rely on them.
Your camera and microphone switch on only after the browser asks for your permission, and the stream goes to the person you are matched with. Chatib does not record, store or review call video or audio. When a call ends, the stream is gone — there is no archive to leak and nothing for us to hand over.
What we cannot control is the other participant: anyone can photograph their own screen. Treat every stranger call as if it could be saved by the other side, and the is Chatib safe page explains the habits that keep you comfortable.
Coin packs are processed by third-party payment providers. They receive the card or wallet details; we receive a confirmation that a payment succeeded, the pack size, and a transaction reference for support. Your full payment details never touch Chatib servers, and we never see your card number — please never email it to us.
Server logs roll over on a short retention cycle measured in weeks, not years. Payment confirmations are kept longer because tax and dispute rules require it. Moderation reports are kept while a case is open and for a limited period afterward, so repeat offenders can be recognized.
You can decline cookies, use a VPN, and chat as a permanent guest — the product stays fully usable. You can also ask us what data exists about you or request its deletion: email [email protected] with the subject "Privacy request". We answer within 48 hours and do not charge for it.
Depending on where you live, laws like the GDPR or CCPA give you formal access, correction and deletion rights. Our process is the same for everyone regardless of geography: ask, and we handle it.
